Hey Girl, Here's the First Look at Ryan Gosling Hosting SNL

Monday, 02 Oct, 2017

We know Saturday Night Live is gearing up to come back soon, so will tonight be the night it happens? But the weekly sketch comedy series' greatest gift is its ability to occasionally leave guest hosts - and sometimes even cast members - in stitches.

Ryan Gosling and Eva Mendes step out in NYC. Those remaining also include Cecily Strong, Beck Bennett, Aidy Bryant, Pete Davidson, Kyle Mooney, Leslie Jones and Kenan Thompson. Then, a wide smile.

Finally, Ryan revisited the sketch that caused him to break two years ago and it seems he found it just as amusing the second time around. While Gosling and Mendes usually keep their romance low-key - are rarely spotted out together - the couple hit the streets of NY hand-in-hand.

During his monologue, Ryan joked about about how he "saved jazz" in the popular film, and even explained jazz by using the piano before Emma joined in on the fun, saying, "What're you doing?"

So, to celebrate, they got together to host last night's 43rd season premiere of Saturday Night Live, with Gosling hosting and Jigga performing. When they are fooled into eating food from Pizza Hut, things go badly. Both actors recently won Emmys for their work, as did Kate McKinnon, who played Hillary Clinton on the show, and on Saturday played Sessions and Angela Merkel, the chancellor of Germany. "All my life I knew I could host SNL.that thrill, that rush and when I hosted it was magical, but you only got part of me last time". The show got a wee bit of bad buzz a year ago for their initial take on Sarah Huckabee Sanders, so tonight Aidy Bryant did nothing.

Did you think that Alec Baldwin as Trump was done forever?

"Rather than face the demons that they have, they go city to city trying to build a home they never had!"

In a bit that will generate wide discussion, "Weekend Update" lambasted Trump for his slow response to the Puerto Rico crisis.
