Green Bay Packers vs. Dallas Cowboys Odds, Analysis, NFL Betting Pick

The Lions back in 2015 snapped a 24-game losing streak when playing against the Packers in Green Bay, if the Lions did it maybe there's hope for the Bears.

The Cowboys defense has been challenged all year and this will be their biggest test to date.

Just as the 2013 game at Lambeau was Trestman's signature win, nearly an exact year later, he would suffer his signature loss as a coach and it marked the beginning of the end of his tenure as Bears head coach. That's not a good thing against Aaron Rodgers. The over/under total for the contest is listed at 52.5 points.

After a poor showing last week against the Rams, I expect the Dallas D to step up this Sunday. Green Bay is averaging 25.5 points and 361 yards per game on offense this year, but injuries to the line and in the backfield have made them one dimensional again. That includes rookie cornerbacks Chidobe Awuzie and Jourdan Lewis. Based on those designations, it seems likely they will all enter the weekend as questionable for Sunday's game. After a 13-3 record previous year, this season all but promises to produce some regression at this point. After making a name for himself last season with four sacks, four forced fumbles and 12 tackles, Irving will add another dimension to Dallas' pass rush which could loosen up the line DeMarcus Lawrence to continue wreaking havoc in the backfield. All that may be affecting his game for after averaging 108 yards and 5.1 yards a carry as a rookie, Elliott's production is down to 3.6 per carry and 69 yards per game this season. He has been known to help move the change and keep the Cowboys on the field and this is the best matchup he has had all season long. The Cowboys will go on the road for their next two games, as they are in San Francisco, and then heading out to Washington to take on the Redskins. Randall Cobb and Davante Adams each grabbed a TD as well, before Adams left due to a vicious hit from Bears' linebacker Danny Trevathan.

It's interesting to think about what would've happened had Favre gotten the opportunity to play for Dallas.

Which players will you be keeping your eye on as the Cowboys take on the Packers? Time is the key because the Cowboys can apply pressure.

Prescott's passing accounted for 229 yards per game past year; this time around that number has increased to 235. Revenge is on my mind. He knows his success against Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers is limited. "Sometimes you see him on film and defenders will be covering him up with real good technique, and he still finds a way to come away with the football to make plays for their team".

No matter how big the rivalry, you never want to see players get hurt-Sam Bradford looked ready to lead the Vikings after a sensational Week One performance, and Dalvin Cook was on his way to becoming an elite running back that would have provided a stiff challenge for the Packers.
