Weinstein, a longtime Hollywood power player who helped to launch countless careers, now stands accused of sexual harassment or sexually inappropriate behavior by more than two dozen women in a string of allegations stemming over decades.

The statement acknowledged that accusers often speak out at and face great professional and emotional risk.

The destination was a last-minute change, the website said, citing "well-connected sources" who told the website that Weinstein was getting treatment somewhere in the Scottsdale area.

She said she quickly figured out Weinstein's motives when they met.

She said: "I was so hesitant about speaking out.I didn't want to hurt his family".

Then, addressing Weinstein saying the culture of the '60s and '70s of which he grew up in led to his toxic behavior, Bee exclaimed, "Oh give me a break, white Cosby!"

The French actress, who won the Palme d'Or at Cannes for Blue Is The Warmest Colour, said the film mogul stared at her "as if I was a piece of meat". Beckinsale ended her post by saying Weinstein is "an emblem of a system that is sick and that we have work to do". The actress said she applauds the women who have come forward with their stories.

The contract came up for renewal just as Ambra Battilana, an Italian model, reported to the police that Harvey Weinstein had groped her during a work meeting at his Manhattan office. It says the claim will be assessed by detectives from the sexual offenses team.

The New York Police Department told Fox News Thursday that they have opened an investigation into sexual assault accusations against Harvey Weinstein stemming from an alleged 2004 incident.

Marking International Day of the Girl, the 45-year-old actress posted a selfie with her eldest child, 13, and wrote a heartfelt caption paying tribute to the teen.

Beckinsale shared on Instagram that when she was called to meet Weinstein at the Savoy Hotel in London at the time, she assumed she would be going to a conference room. "I'm hanging in-I'm trying my best", he says.

In the audio of their conversation which was released by the magazine, Weinstein can be heard apologizing for grabbing her breast and then repeatedly pressuring her to come into his hotel room.

On Wednesday, Bee sarcastically exclaimed during a separate segment (see above) that it has been "a huge week for women" since "America encountered the second giant vortex of destructive moisture named Harvey".

After listing the nominees for supporting actress, MacFarlane said: "Congratulations". Her Twitter account was suspended Wednesday night for violating the site's terms of service after she went after Weinstein through a barrage of tweets, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Maerov said that his chief concern had been whether Harvey Weinstein's behaviour posed a legal liability for the business, and that after receiving assurances that no company money was used and that no complaints against Weinstein were pending, he had approved the contract. As of Thursday morning, he was said to be in Arizona receiving treatment at a rehab facility amid a storm of sexual harassment allegations.
