The Broncos are in quarterback hell

Brock Osweiler will now replace Trevor Siemian as the starter and will lead the offense against the Philadelphia Eagles on the road this Sunday.

Joseph reportedly met with Siemian and Osweiler at the team's training center on Tuesday.

In Monday's loss to the Chiefs, Siemian completed 19-of-36 passes for 198 yards, one touchdown, and three interceptions.

Paxton Lynch, who was a full participant in practice last week for the first time since injuring his throwing shoulder in a preseason game August 26, "won't be in the mix" to start Sunday, Joseph said. Trevor Siemian has been absolutely awful the past five games, in which the Broncos have gone 1-4.

Osweiler said he told his agent he didn't care about any other teams "but if there's an offer from Denver, I don't care if it's a dollar, that's where we're going".

"Our defense played winning football", Broncos coach Vance Joseph said.

Lynch, whom the Broncos drafted in the first round of the 2016 NFL Draft, has been dealing with a shoulder injury. Now, the Broncos have made their call. Rookie Chad Kelly remains on the non-football injury list while recovering from wrist and knee surgeries, and Joseph hinted in his press conference that Denver will place Kelly on injured reserve. We've lost three games in a row, and again, yesterday with (five) turnovers.

The Broncos are focused on this week, with Osweiler starting his first game since throwing three interceptions in the Texans' 34-16 divisional round playoff loss in New England. The Broncos will leave for Philadelphia after their walk-through Friday and have a practice in the Philadelphia area Saturday. In your heart, you know he can play better because those three balls he threw, you just can't throw.

How did we get here?

The run game, which was so good during the Broncos' hot start, mostly floundered until C.J. Anderson got loose for some big gains down the stretch. "I think it's fair to examine that position and all positions".
