That play was made possible by a facemask penalty on the Lions during Green Bay's attempt to lateral their way to the end zone. They'll face a Packers team with a lot of uncertainty on offense, especially at the quarterback position, as Brett Hundley will make just his second National Football League start following the loss of Aaron Rodgers to injury a few weeks ago.

"First of all, I want to be healthy", Rodgers said.

For the foreseeable future, quarterback Brett Hundley will continue to fill in for Rodgers.

To have any hope of reaching the playoffs and bringing Aaron Rodgers back from injured reserve, the Packers need to start winning games. If it heals and we're in the right position, then there's a conversation. Rodgers didn't attend practice but did his rehabilitation work instead. "That's the most important thing", Rodgers said Friday, via Mike Spofford of the Packers' official website. I know getting close doesn't cut it, but there's a lot more that goes into that stat as well. Rodgers wouldn't be able to come back until Week 15, when the Packers take on the Panthers. "I thought he did a nice job practicing going into the New Orleans game". According to ESPN's Rob Demovsky, the Packers are "holding out hope" that he can return for their Week 15 game against the Panthers on December 17.

Even without Rodgers, this is a very winnable game for the Packers. I have to go with the home team in this one as they find a way to get it done in prime time.

Packers.com will have more following practice and locker room interviews. So, it's great to have him back.

A fourth-round draft pick of the Packers in 2009, Lang is preparing to return to Lambeau Field for the first time since signing with the Lions in March. Lions WR Marvin Jones coming off six-catch, 128-yard game against Steelers, second-highest total of career behind 205-yard game a year ago against Packers. He knows we count on him. "It's not only what can you do for yourself, but what are you doing to make the guy next to you better?" "My role is just to help him as much as I can and continue to give him the things he needs, as much or as little as that is". "You feel very bad. But a lot of times, you can't control it". He threw a franchise-record six touchdown passes that afternoon. Hundley stayed in Green Bay for most of the bye week and McCarthy said he met with his new starting quarterback the day after the loss to the Saints and again at midweek while the rest of the players were away.

"When they play offense, the ball moves down the field", McCarthy said of Detroit. But a year ago, the Packers managed a 34-27 victory, sending the Lions to their 25th defeat in their last 26 games on the western shores of Lake Michigan. "He's playing well. And frankly, in our breakdown with the personnel department and as a coaching staff, we feel he's their best lineman". So Aaron can assist in that.
