Woods said she woke up Monday morning and noticed her daughter was missing from her bedroom in the family's Jacksonville home.

A 3-year-old North Carolina girl has been missing for over 24 hours after she was believed to be taken from her bed in the middle of the night on Monday.

"Family members described the young child as a white female who was 2′ 9" tall and weighed around 30 pounds. She has blondish-brown hair and blue eyes.

An extensive search has been underway, centering from the woman's trailer on Dawson Cabin Road in Onslow County, North Carolina.

The Amber Alert states this is a child abduction case and the abductor was unknown at the time the alert was issued.

When asked if he thought Mariah was abducted, Woods simply replied "no".

Helicopters, sheriff's deputies, firefighters and even some individuals from Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune, which is located in part of the search area, have partnered together to help find this little girl.

"Somebody just, walked right up in there, grabbed the three-year-old out the bed - she didn't cry, she didn't scream".

"Please, bring her back", her mother, Kristy Woods, said during a news conference, according to WSOC-TV.

Officials interviewed both Kristy Woods and her live-in boyfriend and conducted a search of their home and vehicle, according to WCTI.

Mariah has been missing from her home since Sunday.

Onslow County Sheriff Hans Miller says the Federal Bureau of Investigation has joined the search for Mariah Woods.
