Cole herself looks like a fun character - while off-ship on a mission, she starts to whine about an overly dramatic villain and is immediately shushed by a more dedicated crew member. But will Season 4 continue the series' trend of dropping in some happier moments?

In season 4, the series is sewn even closer to reality via two episodes where technology-as always-is integral, but broken humanity is the ultimate source of dread. As Kiran Sonia Sawar notes, however, "memories can be subjective", and they're hardly a ideal record of events.

Finally, we have "Black Museum", which features a some sort of advanced crime museum. The new season follows a double win for the series at this year's Emmy Awards.
