NBA All-Star Game Rosters: Russell Westbrook, Al Horford Among Reserves

Thursday, 25 Jan, 2018

In his first season with IN, he he is averaging 24.9 points and 5.3 rebounds for each game played.

Joining Oladipo, Wall, Beal and Lowry as reserves from the East are New York's Kristaps Porzingis, the Celtics' Al Horford and the Cavaliers' Kevin Love.

The starters from both the Eastern and Western Conferences were announced last week.

Under a new All-Star Game format that replaces the traditional matchup between conferences, two captains will choose the rosters from the pool of players voted as starters and reserves. In addition, the Nike uniforms worn by Team LeBron and Team Stephen will also be revealed on TNT.

Westbrook was the only Thunder player selected as either a starter or reserve. The forward is averaging 7.9 assists per game, fifth-most in the National Basketball Association while ranking in the top-10 in defensive box plus/minus (2.9).

The 14 reserves were chosen by the NBA's 30 head coaches. Western Conference format to a draft-style format. Or even if they're on the same team.

Reynolds John Wall. DC will not be united in this All-Star Game, and really, where else on Earth could John Wall be a fourth-string point guard?

Mahoney Bradley Beal. Team LeBron is led by a 14-time All-Star, so who better to show first-timers Porzingis, Beal and Oladipo the ropes. Third on the Warriors in scoring, at 20.6 points per game, he is having his most efficient season, shooting 48.6 percent from the field, including a league-leading 45.3 percent from deep. Butler, meanwhile, has been every bit as good as advertised in his first season being reunited with Tom Thibodeau after an offseason trade from Chicago.

Aldridge has been the anchor in San Antonio with Kawhi Leonard's season plagued by injuries.

His snub isn't as big as the aforementioned players as he'll be gracing All-Star games throughout his career but his mature displays at the age of 21 certainly deserve mentioning and he would've been a fun player to watch in L.A. In the past I've called All-Star snub lists Damian Lillard and Co. but by the tracer of the fans, D-Lil is finally an all-star!
