RONDA ROUSEY HAS switched from mixed martial arts to professional wrestling, joining WWE.

After much anticipation, Ronda Rousey made her appearance at WWE's Royal Rumble, where she closed the show in the ring with the women's Royal Rumble victor Asuka, RAW Women's Champion Alexa Bliss, and SmackDown Women's Champion Charlotte.

"This is my life now". This is not a smash-and-grab.

After the women's Royal Rumble match, Rousey shocked the audience at the Wells Fargo Center in Philidelphia, PA by making her first appearance since Wrestlemania 31 in 2015, where she had a confrontation with Stephanie McMahon.

Here's the moment when Ronda appeared at Royal Rumble.

Many fans are now questioning if Mysterio has now returned to the WWE, or if his Royal Rumble appearance was just a one-off.

As far as her future goes, Rousey wasn't ready to use the word retirement, but by all accounts her fighting career is finished.

"Rowdy" said she would not be attending the pro wrestling event due to her role in the film "Mile 22" which was being filmed in Columbia.

"Its amusing — its kind of like acting, in that it was something I always wanted to do but I never thought was in the cards for me", Rousey said to Shelburne about having dreamed of being a pro wrestler.

Rousey, 30, has been rumoured to be in a switch over to the wrestling world for some time.

If the reactions of her kids are any indication, they enjoy it too. She lost last two fights of her career against Amanda Nunes and Holy Holm in 2015-16.

Rousey's WWE move ends months of speculation which linked her with the sports-entertainment giant.

Ahead of the Royal Rumble in Philadelphia, Paige, real name Saraya-Jade Bevis, tweeted her disappointment at not being able to get in the ring. Expect a slow build up before her fist WWE match, which most likely will happen on April 4th at Wrestlemania.

"This is my life now", Rousey told ESPN's Ramona Shelburne.

"That's what everyone seems to say".

'We've had discussions and we've talked about a million different things, ' Levesque said before Rousey signed her deal with WWE.
