As "Black Panther" mania sweeps the nation this week, Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport has joined in the fun, tweeting a picture of a mystery flight to Wakanda that's put Wakandan Twitter in a frenzy.
"Black Panther" is a cultural movement for black people everywhere.
Boseman plays T'Challa/Black Panther, the newly crowned king of Wakanda, the most technologically advanced country on Earth. With the help of Wakanda enemy Klaue (Andy Serkis acting with his real face as opposed to a motion capture suit), Killmonger obtains the weapon, threatening world stability.
In a world where Spider-Man is played by three different actors across three different franchises, a lot of moviegoers argue that superhero movies have lost their luster. It's beyond even Tony Stark's wildest dreams, and he's the tech guru on the planet. "I loved the vision that Ryan [Coogler] had and the platform Marvel was putting a story from [the] African perspective story on", she explained of the studio and director's initial vision for the film.
Director Ryan Coogler did a great job in showing off the details of Wakanda. The mega-franchise celebrates its 10th anniversary this year since 2008's Iron Man, and even when critical disappointments like Iron Man 2 (2010), Thor: The Dark World (2013) or Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015) occur, they still do well financially.
"I knew I wanted to write about revolutions, the upheaval that it causes to everybody's lives". His action scenes mostly snap with precise energy and efficiency, but some of them are a bit jumbled and hard to follow due to low light or ill-advised camera angles.
"We all had that same thing where we had yearned for these types of images and we hadn't seen them", she said. Apparently, T'Challa's sister Shuri, who appears to be the Tony Stark of this country, was able to use technology to heal his mind. We rebuke and reject him, in YOUR glorious name.
Who is the post-credits "White Wolf"?
Basically, T'Challa momma, family, lady and crew are brown or dark-skinned. We have no idea. "We hadn't seen diverse perspectives told on a heroic tale, on a heroic level". "But we always had conversations about what that final end scene could be and that version of that". We made a decision to give her individual micro braids that we could move and bend really easily in order to create a lot of different styles.
