Stranger Things Child Stars Are Making 12x More Now

Wednesday, 21 Mar, 2018

Production of the third season is set to begin April 23.

The cast was divided into pay scales of three groups: The "A tier", "B tier" and "C tier".

Finn Wolfhard (Mike), Gaten Matarazzo (Dustin), Caleb McLaughlin (Lucas) and Noah Schnapp (Will) will make $250,000 per episode, The Hollywood Reporter said.

The Tier C consists of teenage actors Natalia Dyer, Charlie Heaton and Joe Keery, and they will be pocketing a sum of United States dollars 150,000 per episode.

After one Stranger Things fan had a disappointing birthday party, Millie Bobby Brown is doing her part to make sure the same thing doesn't happen next year. The stars behind the massive success of the series have been able to renegotiate their salaries and have been rewarded with a whopping raise.

The Stranger Things cast salary is reportedly going through the roof - like our adrenaline levels when we hit play the day the new season is dropped.

The Netflix hit series will be back again.

When asked by the Hollywood Reporter, Netflix declined to comment on the stars' salaries. The five Netflix shows ranking among France's most popular digital originals are "Sense8", "Black Mirror,"Narcos,"Marseille" - Netflix's first French-language original -, and "Altered Carbon".

Like many shows, their pay packets have been negotiated in tiers.

Since Stranger Things, Millie Bobby Brown has scored a role in upcoming blockbuster Godzilla: King Of Monsters, while Finn Wolfhard has appeared in Stephen King's It and the upcoming The Goldfinch alongside Nicole Kidman.

To be sure, the show has been a calling card for its other castmembers, as well.

Tier B on the Stranger Things pay scale featured the four boys who made up the Hawkins A/V Club.

Renegotiations are, of course, common on successful shows. This would mean all seven of the main cast members will take over $1.6 million over the course of the eight-episode series.

The series which was created by brothers Matt and Ross Duffer earned 18 nominations at the Emmys past year and is believed to be one of the most watched shows in Netflix history.
