Forbes said it valued her company at almost $800 million and that Jenner owns 100 percent of it.
Jezebel's Megan Reynolds echoed the sentiment, writing, "She does owe much of her "self-made" wealth to her mother, Kris Jenner, whose evil genius for marketing her children and creating a capitalist empire around their image deserves far more shine here".
But the Twitterverse has opinions on Forbes using the word "self-made" to describe someone who had $250,000 laying around-money Jenner had earned from modeling gigs-to jumpstart her business.
And not only that, but they also sat down with the Kylie Cosmetics maven for a short clip (above) where the new mom opened up about paving her own way.
She later repeated the post, writing: "Wait I'm posting this again just because!"
The 20-year-old social media starlet turned makeup mogul has built her Kylie Cosmetics brand to an astonishing $900 million fortune, according to the publication, thus becoming the richest member of the Kardashian-Jenner clan. Jenner is the sole owner, reaping all the profits. "It could easily be an instant game-changing acquisition for any company on the hunt for a winning brand with a younger customer", senior VP or merchandising at Ulta Tara Simon said.
But not all were so quick to discredit the accomplishments of the 20-year-old, who is likely to grab the title of youngest billionaire ever from Facebook's Mark Zuckerberg - he reached the elite status at the age of 23. Kris Jenner manages her daughters' finances and public relations for a 10 percent cut - meaning that previous year, Kylie paid her mom $17 million. In comparison, Kim Kardashian West is estimated to have a value of $350 million, making Kylie's worth almost triple the amount of her older sister.
And while it's unsure what material the ear accessory was, Kylie could definitely afford to splash out on some gold or diamonds after it was revealed earlier in the day that she's "set to be the youngest-ever self-made billionaire". The reality star, who was sacked from Teen Mom OG earlier this year, revealed that she planned to get the proper amount of filler injected back into her lips once her current filler was dissolved.
Her success has been attributed to her fame and ability to leverage social media. "I was insecure about my lips, and lipstick is what helped me feel confident". "I'm so blessed to do what i love everyday. i couldn't have dreamt this up!"
