See the full Fortnite Season 6 patch notes here.

Season 5 got started with a rocket launch that created time rifts in the sky and before that Season 4 got cooking with an event involving a comet crash. Chests can spawn inside these fields and players can also use them to hide from their enemies.

After consuming a Shadow Stone, the player will have increased damage resistance, speed, jump height, and will have the ability to turn invisible when standing still. I'm sure PETA will be issuing a statement soon about putting animals in harm's way.

Unfortunately, however, the game is down for players on Xbox One.

One of the biggest changes to the map this Season is the Haunted Castle location.

Wailing Woods has received a huge update for season 6.

All things considered, it's obvious that Epic Games remains dedicated to provide Fortnite players with the most polished experience possible, even if that means removing certain fan-favorite items for a short spell. A list of available pets hasn't been mentioned, but the teaser video for the season, showcases there to be a dog, a chameleon and a dragon. The place now has a floating island right where the house used to be. Though when it comes back live, there will be a lot of new changes in Fortnite along with map changes.

You'll also notice Corrupted Areas scattered around the map. More seriously, there's a way to keep access to guns while invisibility is active, allowing you to kill other players without ever being seen. As you collect more XP, complete challenges, and level up the battle pass, Calamity gets more elaborate outfits, including a black leather trench coat and spike-lined gloves.
