Blues Legend: Chelsea Fans Enjoying Jose Mourinho Struggle But Still Respect Him

The Daily Mirror reported late on Friday that Mourinho will be replaced as manager regardless of United's result in their Premier League fixture against Newcastle United on Saturday.

The Red Devils have endured a miserable few weeks, drawing at home to Wolves and Valencia, losing away to West Ham and exiting the Carabao Cup amid rumours of a breakdown in relations between Mourinho and his players.

"I've been told I'm not allowed", Pogba said in the mixed zone to reporters when asked to comment about the scenario the club finds itself in.

It is believed that Michael Carrick will take charge of the squad in a temporary role if Mourinho is indeed let go, something which will result in the Portuguese coach raking in around £20m in compensation.

United invested heavily in Brazil global midfielder Fred, while Portuguese youngster Diogo Dalot also arrived from Porto, however it was a frustrating transfer window for Mourinho - whose request for two more signings was not fulfilled by the hierarchy.

Reports emerged on Friday night that a decision had already been taken to remove Mourinho, who is without a win in his last four games - something that has never happened before in his managerial career.

"To be honest with you, I'm furious", he began. I think any manager would struggle at Manchester United, with the way in which the recruitment is handled, the way in which it operates.

Neville said if the report was true and Mourinho had to walk out at Old Trafford like a "dead man walking" then fans would turn on the boardroom.

Manchester United stars have reportedly been hurt by their manager Jose Mourinho's constant attack on the team and they have turned against him.

Rafa Benitez's side are still searching for a first win of the campaign and will be keen to get the ball rolling at Old Trafford on Saturday evening.

Mourinho has found support from Gary Neville, who claims the club is "rotten to the core" and needs new leaders above the manager.

"There's no question that they've been better in different teams and I think you could say that about a lot of his players".

"I hope it's not true, but if it is true I think it's an absolute disgrace", he insisted. I absolutely love it to death. I thought the fans, the people around me, they look bored.

On top of this, rumours of a dressing room mutiny led by Paul Pogba are stronger than ever, indicating that change could be in the offing in England's North-West.

"This is the fourth manager in six years, so you have to start looking at the people who appoint the manager".
