Huawei has slowly established itself as one of the best smartphone makers in the world, and the Mate 20 series is a continuation of that legacy. The optional stylus also stacks the device in direct competition with the Galaxy Note 9.
Before the launch of these devices, there have been lots of leaks, especially over the past few weeks. Interestingly, it is first smartphone that comes loaded with nano microSD card support. Also, the Mate 20 is expected to bear a starting price tag of Euro 750 (roughly Rs. 63,700), while the Mate 20 Pro might start at Euro 850 (about Rs. 72,200). It's an RGBW display with 18.7:9 aspect ratio, FHD+ resolution at 2244 x 1080 pixels and 820 nits of brightness. Reviewers have previously questioned its choice of operating system. It is powered by Huawei's latest chipset, the 7nm HiSilicon Kirin 980 SoC, with dual AI processor.
Indeed, the primary RGB lens is 40 megapixels, and there's an 8-megapixel telephoto lens. These cameras are aided by an LED flash and Super HDR.
In case you were wondering, the Mate 20 RS does in fact have an in-screen fingerprint sensor, just like the Mate 10 RS. It has an IP53 rating. It's also IP68-rated. There's a larger notch in play here, thanks to the inclusion of a facial recognition system that the Mate 20 does not offer. This display has a high color saturation.
The Mate 20 and Mate 20 Pro are both powered by the Android 9 Pie-based EMUI9.
Huawei Mate 20 Pro priced at 1,049 euros, available in Europe now
The handset comes with a fingerprint sensor on the rear unlike the in-display fingerprint sensor found on the Mate 20 Pro. What actually might make a difference for Huawei is its fast wireless charging, a feature in the Pro and Porsche models. It also comes with 3D Live Emoji, with support for GIF and MP4 files. On the plus side, the Mate 20 does include a 3.5mm headphone jack that isn't included on the Mate 20 Pro. It's also much more expensive, starting at €1,695. Interestingly, the smartphone also has reverse wireless charging. Either way, this has given the Indian fans a reason to rejoice as not only Huawei has brought the best of the series to the country, this is also the first time the Mate series is coming to India. Finally, we have the surprisingly low IP53 water and dust resistance. While Huawei Mate 20 Pro mobile comes with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage onboard, Huawei Mate 20 RS Porsche Design has an 8MP RAM clubbed with 256GB internal storage or a massive 512GB of inbuilt storage.
The Huawei Mate 20X is set for October 26 in Europe and will cost around $1040 Dollars for the 6GB RAM variant coupled with 128GB storage.
The Mate 20 Pro is Huawei's flagship phone of 2018, so the company has made this handset stand out from the crowd.
