Blizzard Announces Diablo Immortal; A Diablo Mobile RPG

Sunday, 04 Nov, 2018

The much awaited recreation of the massively multiplayer online role-playing gaming (MMORPG) is out in Summer 2019.

Warcraft III: Reforged is a complete reimagining of a real-time strategy classic. Heartstone will give you "The Third War Card Back", World of Warcraft will give you a "Meat Wagon Mount" and Heroes of the Storm will grant you access to four Warcraft heroes.

Announcements of a brand-new, smartphone-only Diablo and a remastered WarCraft 3 headlined a news-filled BlizzCon keynote presentation on Friday. Ok, the franchise is mostly about that, but it's also about the story of the oncoming apocalypse. Or is this already a skip from you? We'll surely learn more about Echo in the months to come.

As far as controls go, Blizzard claims that "the transition from mouse-and-keyboard or controller to mobile touchscreen device was created to feel completely natural, intuitive and fun".

BlizzCon attendees are able to play the iconic The Culling mission from the human campaign. In the Q&A portion of the reveal at BlizzCon, one fan even asked the developers if this release was an out-of-season April Fools' joke. The gameplay video shows that it holds up well but it's hard to tell for certain just how well it'll perform with people all over the world playing together at once. An example given was a weapon that can attack again after a successful Overkill.

There will be several recognizable characters and classes returning to the game such as the Barbarian, Monk, Wizard, Crusader, Demon Hunter and Necromancer.

The day when everyone was hoping for a Diablo 3 patch on PlayStation 4, has turned into a nightmare for Diablo fans. Why? The game will take place between the events of Diablo II and III and takes its visual inspiration from Diablo III.

In a recent interview with Polygon, Allen Adham, executive producer and Blizzard co-founder, and Dan Eggren, production director, discussed the response many had to the announcement of Diablo: Immortal and more They made it quite clear that the new mobile game is only one of many Diablo titles that are now in development.
