He has been nominated in the Leading Actor and Director categories, while A Star Is Born has been placed in the Best Film, Original Music, Sound, and Adapted Screenplay categories.

According to PEOPLE, the star said: "I was embarrassed".

"I feel so blessed to be able to be coming now, just in support of so many incredible people that are honored - especially so many women that are honored - and are going be celebrated that night", Keys told Entertainment Tonight of her opportunity to host. Mother Monster's fifth nom is for Best Pop Solo Performance for her piano rendition of "Joanne (Where Do You Think You're Goin')".

A Star Is Born follows Gaga's character Ally - a girl-next-door who has given up on a music career until she is discovered by grizzled rock star Jackson, played by first-time director Bradley.

Not a shallow result at all, I reckon (geddit?). "Like, 'Oh gosh, I didn't do my job'".

After the nominations were announced, Cooper's co-star, Lady Gaga, spoke to the Los Angeles Times about the snub and shared that she supports Cooper regardless of any nomination or lack thereof.

The 44-year-old star wrote, directed and starred in the fourth film version of A Star Is Born last year.

Winfrey replies, "I'm at least glad you said that".

The historically press-averse Cooper has stayed mostly quiet on the matter, preferring to sing the praises of his cast members, but, of course, all it took is one conversation with Oprah Winfrey to get him to finally open up. She had two songs ("I Like It" and "Girls Like You" with Maroon 5) top the Billboard Hot 100 and her album "Invasion of Privacy" debuted atop the Billboard 200.
