The identification of the suspect comes as 19 people were transported to the hospital, two in critical condition, after fears of another shooting caused the hundreds gathered for a vigil to the late rapper to flee the area, Los Angeles Fires Department spokeswoman Margaret Stewart said.

Hussle, whose real name was Ermias Davidson Asghedom, had been a figure in the West Coast hip-hop scene for more than a decade.

The suspected gunman has been identified as Eric Holder, a 29-year-old Los Angeles resident with gang ties, according to a news release by the Los Angeles Police Department.

Two other men were injured during the shooting.

Police asked for the public's help in locating Holder.

An autopsy performed Monday determined Asghedom was shot in the head and torso, according to the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner-Coroner. Los Angeles Police Chief Michel Moore plans a news conference for Tuesday morning to discuss updates in the investigation.
