Prince Harry and Meghan Markle Introduce Newest Member of Royal Family

Baby Archie Mountbatten-Windsor is the "most peaceful and placid child", a royal source has revealed.

And some wonder if Her Majesty the Queen - and great-grandma - is really pleased with the name.

Holding the baby grow up to his body, Harry beamed as the new dad thanked them for baby Archie's gift.

She praised the couple's equal banter in front of the cameras, which she said showed there no hierarchy between them. Archie was not a favourite among bookmakers eagerly wagering on a number of boys name with royal roots including Alexander, Arthur and Albert while the world patiently waited for the child.

Talking why the couple made a decision to keep their firstborn's name as Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor, Prince Harry and Meghan wanted to pay tribute to Harry's late mother, Princess Diana.

Harry founded the sporting event back in 2014 as a way of celebrating wounded veterans of the armed forces.

"He said that (Archie) slept for the first 24 hours like all babies do. and then he woke up", he said.

So what do the names Archie and Harrison mean? He's just been the dream so it's been a special couple of days. Albert was also a top pick for Middleton and Prince William's son Prince Louis, who was born in April 2018. The baby is the queen's eighth great-grandchild.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex introduced their newborn son to the world two days after his birth.

"I am the only man in the country not allowed to give his name to his children", he reportedly told friends at the time.

The couple managed to maintain some secrecy, with news coming from Buckingham Palace Monday that Markle was in labor when she had in fact already had the baby earlier that morning.

"Before 1917, members of the British Royal Family had no surname, but only the name of the house or dynasty to which they belonged", according to the royal's website.
