Fortnite season 9 is here, and it's all about the future. Check out the cinematic reveal trailer above, where the dark fate of banana man Peely is revealed.

While this might have been a minor inconvenience to Fortnite Battle Royale players, most will appreciate Epic monitoring their latest addition closely to prevent bugs and other issues from occurring.

Fortbytes were introduced to Fortnite alongside the Season 9 battle Pass on Thursday.

As you can see, Mega Mall is very similar to the Neo Tilted redesign.

Fortnite season 9 also brings with it brand new map locations Neo Tilted and Mega Mall.

The Battle Pass also includes a new set of season-long missions called Fortbyte. The volcano also changed and is now known as Pressure Plant.

We've even picked up a few ourselves, from the Fortnite frozen island Fortbyte to Fortbyte 13, which was hinted at through loading screen 2.

Using Creative mode, players can build their own version of Neo Titled Towers. Both locations have new gameplay additions as well, including Slipstreams and Air Vents. Removed from the game, for now, are the Clingers, Buried Treasure, Pump Shotgun, Poison Dart Trap, Scoped Revolver, Suppressed Assault Rifle, Thermal Assault Rifle, and Balloons.

These are the progressive outfits for Fortnite season 9, with the final tier 100 reward for the Battle Pass the new Vendetta skin. Collect them all to unlock rewards and uncover the secrets of Season 9. This item is unlocked early on in the Battle Pass, at Tier 7.

With a new season of "Fortnite" comes the Season 9 Battle Pass, which brings 100 tiers worth of challenges, boosts, and unlockable costumes, item decals, and other cosmetics.

A new Slipstreams transportation system is also being added to the Fortnite map.

But, now that the lava is cooling, what can players expect this season.
