Trump orders intelligence agencies to cooperate with investigation into 2016 election

'It was an attempted coup or an attempted take down of the president of the United States.

He explained his order granting Barr declassification authority and ordering the intelligence community to cooperate.

"Comey, Brennan, Clapper, we're draining the swamp, folks", Trump told a rally on Monday in Pennsylvania, referring to former FBI Director James Comey, former CIA Director John Brennan, and James Clapper, a former director of national intelligence, all of whom have been critical of Trump.

"I hope he looks at everything, because there was a hoax that was perpetrated on our country".

"He can look and I hope he looks at the United Kingdom and I hope he looks at Australia and I hope he looks at Ukraine". I hope he looks at everything.

The name of the F.B.I. informant fascinated by the initial investigation of the Trump campaign's contacts with Russian Federation used to be inadvertently made public. One of the main "stop signs" as Graham put it was warnings about the information former British spy Christopher Steele was collecting was unreliable and not vetted.

Intelligence experts claim Trump is trying to do an end-run around USA spy agencies.

"He has got to do infrastructure", said Graham.

The tweet with the video was pinned to the top of Trump's Twitter feed. They are utterly ridiculous and should be ignored'.

Based on the memo, Barr will still have some restrictions surrounding what he can declassify after conversations with the named agencies in order to protect sources, methods and to comply with the law.

'I declassified, I guess, potentially millions of pages of documents. "That is my easiest anxiousness, and I am hoping Mr. Barr realizes that". He has no longer detailed the tips he's looking out for, but some officers maintain mentioned he's in how the C.I.A. concluded Mr. Putin ordered the interference campaign in 2016.

"You'll learn a lot".

"Barr is going to look at it from a criminal point of view", Graham said. "We're being - a word that you like - 'transparent'".

On Thursday, Mr Trump gave Mr Barr full authority to publicly disclose information about the origins of the investigation he repeatedly dismissed as a "hoax".

Trump's memo directs the heads of several federal agencies, including the CIA, FBI and State Department, to "promptly" provide assistance and information to Barr to complete his review.

New York Times correspondent Michael Schmidt said this investigation is "sort of unusual and different" and asked, "Is it to keep Trump at bay or does Barr really think there's a there there?"

He directed the USA intelligence community on Thursday to "quickly and fully cooperate" with Attorney General William Barr's investigation of the origins of the multi-year probe of whether his 2016 campaign colluded with Russian Federation.

Instead, the president has said the report shows there was a conspiracy against him, telling supporters at a rally in Pennsylvania on Monday that former USA officials spied on his presidential campaign and were guilty of treason, a claim he stood by on Thursday.
