‘Frozen 2’ trailer raises questions about Elsa’s powers

Wednesday, 12 Jun, 2019

Fans have been campaigning for Disney to give Elsa a girlfriend since the release of the first Frozen film in 2013.

Walt Disney Pictures and Walt Disney Animation Studios have released the official Frozen 2 trailer, offering brand new footage and better look at the highly anticipated sequel.

The trailer closes on a shot of Elsa, Anna, Kristoff, Sven, and Olaf walking past four stone pillars (possibly to represent the four seasons, or the four elements) and stepping through a thick cloud of mist.

Though the last movie showed us how powerful Elsa can be, this new addition to the series makes us realise how little we know about the Queen of Arendelle. We don't yet know what secrets Nokk will be guarding and how it will help Elsa and the gang as they head north into the unknown, but if this trailer is any indication, it's going to be an unbelievable adventure. Grand Pabbie continues to say, "We have always feared that Elsa's powers were too much for this world".

Promises Anna, "I won't let anything happen to her". By her side is her loyal and fearless sister Anna (Kristen Bell), Anna's boyfriend Kristoff (Jonathan Groff), and their lovable snowman Olaf (Josh Gad). Picture: Disney Who has written the Frozen 2 soundtrack?

Directors Jennifer Lee and Chris Buck have returned for the sequel, as have songwriters Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez. Elsa takes on the ocean, determined, and seems to be handling it well until the ocean swallows her.
