Cech returns to Chelsea

The former Czech Republic global spent 11 years at Chelsea, winning 13 major trophies, including four Premier League titles and four FA Cups, before joining Arsenal in 2015.

After weeks of negotiations, it seems that Manchester United have finally agreed a £55m deal with Crystal Palace for the transfer of Aaron Wan-Bissaka.

Manchester United are massively interested in hiring Aaron Wan-Bissaka from Crystal Palace, and are now reportedly near to capture the young right-back from the Premier league side.

United may have to break the transfer record for a British defender if they are to sign the 21-year-old whom Palace rate at £50 million.

The Red Devils have been linked with a swoop to sign the Palace right-back since the Premier League season finished last month.

Antonio Valencia has already been released by the Old Trafford club and it is possible Italian Matteo Darmian could also depart this summer.

However, it appears Wan-Bissaka is now set to join United and he'll become their second major signing of the summer after they splashed out around £17m on winger Daniel James from Swansea City. He's not a centre midfielder or a centre forward like Wilf [Zaha].

Wan-Bissaka enjoyed an outstanding campaign at boyhood club Palace in 2018-19 making 39 appearances in all competitions.

But England under-21 boss Aidy Boothroyd claims the speculation surrounding the move, which would make him the most expensive full-back in the world, has started to get to the player.

Wan-Bissaka has seemingly been identified as the ideal solution, as evidenced by reports of a number of United bids for the young stopper over recent weeks.

"I could dodge this question by saying you have to ask him - but I won't", said Boothroyd.

"When that speculation is flying around, it is bound to turn your head", Boothroyd said, as quoted by BBC Sport.

Cech would go on to feature a staggering 494 times for the Blues, keeping 228 clean sheets in the process.
