Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez sued by people she blocked on Twitter

The Democrats will head into the 2020 election with absolutely no legislative accomplishments to speak of, in our view, as long as Pelosi has to keep babysitting the radicals in her party.

Omar then tweeted a response to Ocasio-Cortez's tweet: "Patetico!"

Rising Democratic star Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, a freshman lawmaker from NY, has been hit with a lawsuit accusing her of violating the First Amendment by blocking a critic on Twitter.

"All these people have their public whatever and their Twitter world", she told the Times. But they didn't have any following.

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez blocked Joseph Saladino on Twitter in May.

"Instead of 'fiscally conservative but socially liberal, ' let's call the New Democrats and Blue Dog Caucus the 'New Southern Democrats.' They certainly seem hell bent to do to black and brown people today what the old Southern Democrats did the 40s", Chakrabarti wrote in the tweet.

Most recently, he criticised her when she tweeted that the USA government was running "concentration camps" on the border with Mexico.

Lieberman said he "really" appreciates that the speaker said that these members of the party are "taking us down the road that's not right". The conservative co-host added that "Republicans don't do this when it comes down to the wire", as a lot of them "see the bigger picture when it comes to legislation and the supreme court".

The Wall Street Journal reports many Democrats embraced Pelosi's message, which was "not aimed at any particular Member or group", according to the speaker's deputy chief of staff.

For Pelosi allies, her offhand dismissal in a newspaper interview over the weekend of Ocasio-Cortez and three other liberal first-term lawmakers who opposed a border security package was a necessary comeuppance for "the squad" of newcomers who are trying to push the party leftward.

This week's battle, however, is a "more deliberate, more transparent process", she said.

Yesterday, she and Ocasio-Cortez both told the Washington Post that it's clear that the quartet is being targeted by the Speaker, with Pressley saying the comments were "demoralizing".

"I've said what I'm going to say in the caucus", Pelosi said in the press conference. "It's like 'These ones, '" she said, reported Fox News. "Regrets is not what I do", Pelosi told reporters Wednesday while leaving a closed-door meeting of House Democrats.

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., listens as Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell testifies before the House Financial Services Committee on Capitol Hill in Washington, Wednesday, July 10, 2019.

Pelosi called herself a "lioness" who would "protect our cubs", referring to migrant children.

"I think people are going to be walking on eggshells", Rep. Josh Gottheimer, D-N.J., said Monday about the mood he expected when lawmakers return Tuesday. "And so one of the things that I wanted to do was to hold a strong line", she said.

They also have not tried to whip votes against a major leadership priority such as the border bill, nor muscled House support for impeachment, an idea Pelosi rejects.

She added that if Ocasio-Cortez and others did not try to reach out and persuade moderates, they shouldn't complain about legislation.
