'Cats' Trailer: They Really Made a 'Cats' Movie

Saturday, 20 Jul, 2019

Along with Cats, other films released their trailers at this year's Comic-con. It included Judy Dench, who actually starred in the original stage cast of Cats back in 1981, and Taylor Swift, notorious cat lover. I nearly willingly destroyed my electronics because I was so afraid of this trailer.

Due to the technology advancement, we can see all characters have become cats, here we have a behind the scenes video for all of you with the actual actors without their cat looking like overdo. While fans will have to wait until December 20 to see the whole thing, the trailer's enough to give people exactly what they want or turn them off from the whole ordeal entirely.

The film stars Dame Judi Dench and Sir Ian McKellen, whose faces are captured accurately by the CGI, which has incorporated stars into feline bodies.

It was the kind of musical you couldn't imagine as a feature film but in 2019, Oscar-winning director Tom Hooper (The King's Speech, 2010) did just that with an eclectic cast to boast about. Music! Dancing! Catnip! A sexy Swift feline!

Universal Pictures presents a Working Title Films and Amblin Entertainment production, in association with Monumental Pictures and The Really Useful Group. American singing sensation Taylor Swift will be making her big Hollywood debut with the Tom Hooper directorial. Based on a book of T.S. Eliot poetry-turned-popular-Andrew Lloyd Webber musical, Cats has never made much sense.

It is choreographed by Andy Blankenbuehler, and executive produced by Steven Spielberg. My guess is that we're going to follow that white cat-person into the world of the Jellicle cats, and the story will then center around that.

Based on the long-running musical of the same name, the musical is about - you guessed it - cats.
