While The Last of Us Part II finally has a release date and fans everywhere are excited, there's an odd bit of news coming out.

The Last of Us 2 will be released on February 21, 2020 for PlayStation 4. The trailer showed off a settlement in The Last of Us Part II, as well as did its best Red Dead impression with Ellie travelling the world on horseback.

It looks like Ellie is out for revenge after something tragic happens to someone close to her once again. As part of the celebration, Sony is also throwing in some free in-game content in the form of five free packs, which includes a Diamond player. Ideal timing for those who haven't had the chance to play it but have had their interest piqued by the most recent trailer to The Last of Us 2.

The Last of Us takes place 20 years after a pandemic has radically changed civilization, where infected humans run wild and survivors kill each other for food, weapons - whatever they can get their hands on.

It sounds like Naughty Dog was at one point working on a multiplayer component for The Last of Us 2, and that the developers probably weren't supposed to discuss it when they did. Check out a new trailer for the game below. - Let us know in the comments! As much as I like to give the game's promotional tactics and director a hard time, I'm ready to see for myself if the hype is real. Believe me, we're fans as well. So if you're team didn't make the playoffs, you can go ahead and imagine how this season could've unfolded if you were at the helm.

"What we realised pretty early on is that we were putting together Naughty Dog's most ambitious and longest game in our 35 year history".

This is the beginning of the end to really knowing concrete things about the game like gameplay and story. There is also a special edition controller that will come with the bundle, flawless for anyone who wants to have unique looking gamepads in their house.
