In a video leaked from a private gathering Trump held on Thursday with U.S. diplomats in New York, Trump made clear he was battling for his survival.
The first ad earlier appeared on Trump's social networks. "There was no quid pro quo", Trump said in a press conference Wednesday in NY after the rough transcript's release.
Kathleen Clark, a legal ethics professor at Washington University School of Law in St. Louis, said Trump is treating the country's attorney general as if he's just another personal lawyer.
The newspaper said the handling of US President's calls with world leaders has come under scrutiny after questions over whether a transcript of a July 25 call with Ukrainian president was "improperly" placed into this computer system.
President Trump and Republican lawmakers criticized Schiff for his inaccurate paraphrase of the transcript. One former adviser urged Trump to confront the crisis at hand and get past his fury over the probe of Russian election interference.
In June, amid Special Counsel Robert Mueller's Trump-Russia investigation, only 22 percent of Americans said they supported impeachment proceedings against Trump, according to an NPR/PBS NewsHour/Marist survey.
Pelosi (D-Calif.) said it's more important for Congress to uphold its duty than for the Democrats to control the lower Congressional chamber. Democrats have also called on Barr to step aside from decisions on the Ukraine matter.
Those calls - both with leaders who maintain controversial relationships with Trump - were among the presidential conversations that aides took remarkable steps to keep from becoming public.
"The Saudi calls placed in the restricted system were with King Salman, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman [MBS] and Prince Khalid bin Salman, who at the time was the Saudi ambassador to the United States", the report said.
Giuliani has confirmed that he has contacted Ukrainian authorities about possibly investigating Biden and his son.
Giuliani not only repeated it but also brandished what he said were affidavits that support them and claimed that Trump "was framed by the Democrats". Trump's opponents alleged that the US leader sought to exert pressure on Zelensky in order to launch an investigation against Hunter Biden, whose father, former US Vice President Josef Biden, is now Trump's most probable rival at the upcoming presidential election. Hunter Biden served on the board of a Ukrainian gas company when Biden was in office.
The Ukraine reports raised serious concerns that Trump's actions have jeopardized national security and the integrity of USA elections, Pelosi said.
