Bishopbriggs woman is set to strut catwalk for cancer care

A woman's risk of breast cancer is now 1 in 7, up from 1 in 8 in the past year alone.

The women, from Coningsby in Lincolnshire, were all diagnosed over a fifteen year period.

Aged women face higher risk of breast cancer.

The number of people diagnosed with breast cancer is steadily increasing and many cases still go unreported.

The WV Breast and Cervical Cancer Screening Program is part of a national program established in 1991 and provides free or low-priced breast and cervical cancer screenings to uninsured and underinsured women who are eligible and enrolled in the program. Additionally, last year, I signed into law the Federal "Right to Try" legislation, which allows those diagnosed with a terminal illness greater access to lifesaving drugs.

Funding has helped find new risk factors, improve early detection and create more effective, less harsh treatment options.
