The rumor mill is buzzing about Jose Mourinho reportedly arriving in London tomorrow to finalize a deal that will make the Special One the new man in charge of Spurs, so get your popcorn ready.

Jose Mourinho has been appointed as the new manager of Tottenham Hotspur after Mauricio Pochettino was sacked by the Premier League club on Tuesday.

The former Chelsea and Manchester United boss says the standard of young players at Spurs is greater than his previous clubs.

That relative decline for a club used to challenging for major honours led to suggestions that Mourinho's skills as a top-level coach were on the wane.

"We believe he will bring energy and belief to the dressing room", Levy said.

However, former Spurs striker Gary Lineker suggested whoever gets the job has a near impossible task, tweeting: 'He (Pochettino) helped the club to punch massively above their weight for years.

However, a run to the Champions League final thanks to dramatic away goals victories over Manchester City and Ajax papered over cracks in Tottenham's domestic form dating back to February that have dragged on into this season.

No team with as few points as Spurs have after 12 league games (14) have gone on to finish in the top four in the English top flight and Mourinho must buck the odds.

His glittering CV includes Champions League titles with Porto and Inter Milan.

Mourinho has plenty of managerial experience in the Premier League.

On Tottenham's current lowly standing, Mourinho added: "In the Premier League, we know where we are and we know we don't belong there".

"Gaffer. I'll be forever thankful to you for helping me achieve my dreams", Kane wrote on his official Twitter account.

It's a privilege when a manager goes to a club and feels that happiness in relation to the squad that he's going to have.

"We've had some fantastic moments in the last 5 and a half years that I will never forget". "Good luck with finding a better replacement. ain't gonna happen".

"Carlos will take up the position of Fitness Coach, having previously worked with Jose at Chelsea, Manchester United and Real Madrid, while Ricardo and Giovanni will take up roles as Tactical Analyst and Technical Analyst respectively".
