Marshawn Lynch Officially Signs With The Seattle Seahawks

Wednesday, 25 Dec, 2019

Lynch, 33, and Turbin, 30, will now be charged with revitalising a backfield that saw its top three running backs go down with season-ending injuries in the span of 15 days.

"A rough loss grows much, much worse for the #Seahawks: Coach Pete Carroll told reporters that RB Chris Carson (hip) is out next week and docs believe he may be out for the playoffs".

The visit was merely a social one, though the team had to report it to the National Football League since Lynch has not officially retired. "I don't know what the hell they sayin".

Lynch, who retired at the end of last season, was serviceable in his 1.5 seasons in Oakland. That span saw him put up 488 rushing yards in five games, postseason included.

However, while the Green Bay Packers need to take care of business on the field, it doesn't mean we can't look ahead and play the "what if" game. While this was before the current uniforms of the Seahawks and Russell Wilson's rise to fame, Skittles candy rained from the stands that day in Seattle.

Turbin gained 354, 264 and 310 yards in his three seasons with Seattle from 2012-14 serving as the backup to Lynch as well as often filling the role as a third-down/two-minute back. That included a career-high 310 yards in 2014. He averaged 4.3 yards per carry in 21 starts in Oakland. Turbin played in two games for the Indianapolis Colts before being released in November. Not only Lynch, Seattle is also looking to sit down with former running back Robert Turbin.

Turbin posted to Instagram a picture from inside the Seahawks' locker room Monday evening, indicating he had returned to the team.

First and foremost, the Seahawks are trying to win the NFC West, and the home playoff game that comes with it, and a win over the 49ers would give Seattle a division title and at worst the No. 3 seed. He spent three seasons with Seattle before moving on.

"He's had plenty of time to be working and get ready in case something came up, and I'm anxious to see him when we get him here", Carroll said Monday. Why not one of the greatest players in franchise history?
