Almost 1,400 basketballs were removed from Kobe Bryant's memorial

After Kobe Bryant's untimely death in a helicopter crash that also killed his daughter Gianna, 13, family friend LeBron James said that every game he plays will be emotional.

That timeline will have allowed the memorial to exist for a full week since the death of Bryant, his 13-year-old daughter Gianna and seven others in a helicopter crash.

Last week, the National Basketball Association introduced changes to this year's All-Star Game to pay tribute to Kobe, Gianna, and the seven other victims of the January 26 helicopter crash in Calabasas, California.

The basketball legend had won five NBA championships in his twenty year long career while featuring for Los Angeles Lakers.

Fans gather at a memorial for the late Kobe Bryant in front of Staples Center in Los Angeles, Sunday, Feb. 2, 2020. One of those changes is to the jersey number of the teams, one represented by James of the Los Angeles Lakers, and the other by Giannis Antetokounmpo of the Milwaukee Bucks.

"There's going to be a lot of important steps for us along the way and this was definitely one".

"I'm not sure what our lives hold beyond today, and it's impossible to imagine life without them".

"We were so incredibly blessed to have them in our lives". But we wake up each day, trying to keep pushing because Kobe, and our baby girl, Gigi, are shining on us to light the way. I just wish I could hug them, kiss them and bless them. Dismantling the tributes for Bryant would start on Monday (NZT).

Two of the callers noted the foggy conditions at the time of the crash, which is one of the subjects of the investigation.

Zeidman said the stadium will pack up the thousands of tributes, which include fan art and letters, for the Bryant family. It's still hard to grasp for many people across the world, but particularly for those in the public eye during the biggest annual sports event of year this past weekend, Super Bowl LIV.
