Black Shark 3 PRO 5G gaming phone released: Triggers and everything

The brand also launched a bunch of accessories alongside its flagship Black Shark 3 series. The phones are available in China only for now and is priced from 3,499 Yuan (RM2,104) for the Black Shark 3; the Black Shark 3 Pro starts at 4,699 Yuan (RM2,826). Thanks to the MEMC technology by the independent image chipset, both Black Shark 3 and Black Shark 3 Pro can upgrade the video frame rate from 25Hz to 90Hz. In terms of RAM, while the Black Shark 3 Pro and the higher variant (12GB) of Black Shark 3 get LPDDR5, the base variant of Black Shark 3 just gets 8GB of LPDDR4X. Black Shark 3 will be available in four colours - Midnight Black, Frozen Silver, Knight Grey, and Faerie Pink.

The Black Shark 3 has a 6.67-inch FHD+ OLED display, while the Black Shark 3 PRO has a 7.1-inch 3120 x 1440 OLED display.

Both phones have 64-megapixel main cameras, supplemented by 13-megapixel ultra-wide and 5-megapixel depth detection snappers, as well as 20-megapixel front cameras. At the front, the Black Shark 3 features a 20MP selfie snapper (f/2.2 aperture).

This set of graphics and touch capabilities will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 inside.

The Black Shark 3 Pro comes with a significant design overhaul alongside some powerful specs bundled inside.

To start with the specifications, the Black Shark 3 features a 6.67-inch Full HD+ display with 2400 x 1080 pixel resolution, 394 ppi pixel density, HDR 10+ support, 500 nits brightness.

In terms of design, both the Black Shark 3 vanilla variant and the Pro variant feature a metal and glass design with the fourth-generation liquid cooling system. Black Shark's new devices also sport a 270Hz touch sampling rate and claims record low latency of 24 milliseconds.

The Black Shark 3 Pro is backed by a solid 5,000mAh battery, while the standard Black Shark 3 packs a smaller 4,720mAh battery. The Black Shark 3 Pro will go on sale from March 17 in China. The Black Shark smartphones not only offer top-notch specifications at a reasonable price, but also tends to provide enhanced gaming experience with many innovative features. Apart from the traditional USB Type-C charging, there are four magnetic charging contacts on the rear panel, supporting 18W fast charge. Black Shark additionally has a partnership with Tencent Games for sport optimizations and software, particularly to its phones. The Black Shark 3 Pro will be available in Knight Grey, Blasting Black.

The Dual SIM (Nano) Back Shark 3 runs Android 10 with the company's JOYUI skin on top.

A standard 3.5mm headphone jack on the Black Shark 3 allows the user to plug in their wired headphones like a civilized human being. Speaking of dimensions, the Pro is slightly larger than the non-Pro at 177.79×83.29×10.1mm with the thickest part of 10.48mm. The touch-sensitive air triggers on previous Black Shark models are replaced with physical pop-up buttons, and the brand has assured the buttons can withstand over 3,00,000 lifts and over one million clicks.
