EA Play 2020: Federation Internationale de Football Association 21 Coming to Steam; Release Date, Price Unveiled

Wednesday, 24 Jun, 2020

This Friday, and during the EA Play Live event, the first images of the Federation Internationale de Football Association 21 were revealed, which will be available on new generation consoles, Xbox Series X and PS5, but also on PC, PS4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch.

The PS5 and Xbox Collection X versions, with their state-of-the-art features, will be accessible later - but EA is featuring a free of charge up grade path to gamers who invest in the game on the former technology early.

On PlayStation 5, Marvel's Avengers will provide improved graphics mode for the highest image quality possible, along with a high framerate mode that will run at 60 FPS with vibrant 4K resolution.

Nevertheless, Crystal Characteristics has not yet confirmed the benefits the Xbox Series X version will have over the Xbox One.

Marvel's Avengers launches on PS4 on September 4, 2020, and the PS5 version will be available at the PS5's launch in Holiday 2020.

Marvel's Avengers is Coming To Playstation 5 As a Free UpgradeWATCH

As one might expect, the new hotness for consoles will come with a slew of next-gen upgrades.

Square Enix has said that it will share more on Avengers' Xbox Series X upgrade program in the future.

According to the PlayStation Blog, it doesn't matter if fans buy a physical or digital copy of Marvel's Avengers since either version will be eligible for the next-gen upgrade on PS5. Better yet, you'll be able to enjoy cross-play between PS5 and PS4. This only spells a visual treat for players which also plays like a breeze, given how Marvel's Avengers is already visually stunning in its current-gen iteration. This also lines up with Cerny's claims of a dramatically enhanced boost mode that pushes games way past their current-gen state and performance targets.

Although Square Enix hasn't named its upgrade incentive, it is similar to Xbox Smart Delivery and EA's Dual Entitlement. It will also utilise the advanced haptics available on the PS5 DualSense controller. Lead developer Crystal Dynamics, and publisher Square Enix, have been quiet on this front, but we could get news in an upcoming War Table livestream on Wednesday, June 24.
