Lou Williams fires back at Kendrick Perkins' strip-club take

The NBA's bubble concept continues to work.

Clippers guard Lou Williams brings the ball up court during a game against the 76ers on February 11 in Philadelphia. When the news began to spread about Williams being at the strip club, Harlow pulled the post from his social media.

Los Angeles Clippers' Kawhi Leonard (2) goes up for a shot as Houston Rockets' Robert Covington defends during the second half of an NBA basketball game Thursday, March 5, 2020, in Houston.

"Ask any of my team-mates what my favourite restaurant in Atlanta is", he tweeted.

As a result, Lou Williams, who is a candidate for the Sixth Man of the Year award, will now be missing the first two seeding games of the Clippers-the first against Los Angeles Lakers on Thursday, July 30, and against New Orleans Pelicans on Saturday, August 1. Williams maintained that no entertainers were present and that he went there for dinner after attending the viewing for the father of a close friend. The Clippers face the Los Angeles Lakers on July 30 and the New Orleans Pelicans on August 1.

Nevertheless, the stunt still earned him an additional six days of quarantine for a total of 10 instead of only four days.

"Those (images) got out and that's something that we obviously didn't enjoy seeing or like", Clippers coach Doc Rivers said. Now, when you have five and six guys out at one time, that's asking too much on any roster.

Two other players on the team, pivot Montrezl Harrell and point guard Patrick Beverley, have left the campus this week because of family emergencies, and have not returned. Per the league's protocols, players who leave the Disney campus and violate protocols are docked salary for each game they miss. "If tomorrow looks like today, and today we all acknowledge - and this is not Michele talking, this is the league, together with the PA and our respective experts saying, "This is the way to do it" - then that's going to have to be the way to do it". "My guess is I would doubt it, but I have no idea".

Williams will also forfeit up to $150,000 in salary, Bobby Marks of the ESPN reported ahead of the suspension.
