Launched by the Public Health Alliance of Southern California, the index also has an interactive COVID-19 resource map.

Well, it has - several times now. "For the general public, the vaccine is not available yet".

Earlier this week, public health officials ordered the suspension of elective surgeries for at least three weeks in more than a dozen southern and central counties.

"There has been incredible interest expressed in receiving the COVID-19 vaccine from those who live and work in Lake County", the Lake County Health Department said in a statement Thursday.

That version of the plan was released less than a month ago but it has now been changed again.

NY state and city are now in Phase 1a of the Centers for Disease Control's (CDC) vaccination rollout plan.

Phase 2 is broad, including firefighters, police officers, grocery store workers, K-12 and child care workers - teachers, custodians and other staff - transportation workers, U.S. Postal Service employees and people who work in retail and agriculture. Phase 1B include frontline essential workers in critical infrastructure and people 65 years of age or older.

The next phase, 1B, would be split into two tiers. The manufacturers of the vaccine have control over when the doses are processed and shipped to local health departments.

"The longer you wait to register in AllVax, the later you will be notified to receive your vaccine in your eligible phase", health officials said.

Georgia is now in Phase 1-A of its vaccine rollout, which prioritizes health-care workers and residents and staff at long-term care facilities.

Vaccinations will be provided by appointment only.

Statewide, 652,128 doses have been administered as of Friday.

The university has even recruited public health students, who can't give shots but have the knowledge to help run vaccination sites.

To date, there have been 10,508 total cases of COVID-19 in New Hanover County, with about 1,699 of those now infected with the virus. "Residents should be assured, the COVID-19 vaccines we have are safe and effective".

The state-wide COVID-19 Call center is also answering questions about the COVID-19 vaccine. Of the total cases, 79,664 have recovered. They were administered to people in the "phase one group".

The province ran 16,765 tests in the past 24 hours with a positivity rate of seven per cent. So far, Moderna has been the only vaccine manufacturer to ship to the West Central Health District.

As the state continues to receive more vaccine shipments, providers throughout the state will administer the vaccine to eligible individuals. Others experience more severe symptoms, and some do require hospitalization.

Public health is encouraging all residents to fill out the registration form.

Nevada County's Grass Valley COVID-19 testing site, at 231 Colfax Ave., has increased its testing capacity, according to a county press release.
