Pre-orders for the Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Fold start today, you can find it on Lenovo.com - but be prepared to part with $2,500 (and this is with a 256 GB SSD).

X1 Nano can be preloaded with Windows 10 Pro or Ubuntu Linux OS and features optional 5G6 for future-ready connectivity. It will be offered in a single Black colour with an optional carbon fibre weave top cover. Fast forward a year and Samsung is leading the charge for semi-accessible foldable with the second titration of its Z Fold lineup and Lenovo is finally putting its ThinkPad X1 Fold in the hands of users. It will start shipping in the coming weeks.

Lenovo has also launched the high-end ThinkPad X1 Nano which the company claims to be the lightest ThinkPad ever, and also the first laptop from Lenovo to come with Intel Evo certification.

People interested in buying the Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Fold should probably not wait too long.

On battery life, Lenovo is promising up to 17.3 hours of battery life for the X1 Nano with its 48 WHr battery. And the 2,160 x 1,350 resolution visuals are powered by Intel Iris X graphics for 100 percent sRGB support. Touch display options are also available. It can be equipped with up to 16GB of LPDDR4x RAM and up to 1TB PCIe SSD for storage.

The speaker system includes four speakers with Dolby Atmos support for immersive sound and combined with four 360-degree microphones.

Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.0 are cooked in, and 5G mobile connectivity can be optioned in.

Even with the thin and light form factor, Lenovo saids the ThinkPad X1 Nano will not skimp on performance or battery life.

Another nice new feature of Lenovo's ThinkPad X1 Nano is the screen to chassis manipulation that offers customers a 2K 13-inch display with the coveted 16:10 aspect ratio in a relatively compact footprint. It boasts 300 nits brightness and 95% coverage of the DCI-P3 color gamut. The touchscreen laptop supports Dolby Vision as well. A pinnacle of engineering innovation, the X1 Fold offers a revolutionary mix of portability and versatility that defines a new computing category enabled by Intel® Core™ processors with Intel® Hybrid Technology and made possible by Intel's Project Athena innovation program.

When unfolded, the device can be used as a tablet. While these ports are versatile thanks to support for video output, charging, and high-speed data transfer, you'll need an adapter if you plan to use any accessories that don't have USB-C connectors.

Available in both Intel and AMD configurations, Lenovo's new ThinkBook 15s Gen 2 comes with integrated Bluetooth earbuds.
